Mononoke Made

“mononoke・made” is a special project by world-renowned artist Takashi Murakami and Yuta Hosokawa, the designer behind READYMADE and ©SAINT Mxxxxxx. More than just a collaboration, mononoke・made is a project that can be considered a culmination, born from the strong trust cultivated over many years between the two since their meeting in 2018, and the accumulation of essential creative dialogues. It took approximately two years from conception to completion. The project incorporates not only famous flowers and DOB from Takashi Murakami's art, but also numerous artworks that have never before been released as apparel products. For these valuable artworks, Hosokawa meticulously focused on every detail of material, structure, sewing, and processing, going through repeated prototypes to elevate them into three-dimensional products. mononoke・made is the first to translate Takashi Murakami's art into apparel with such freedom and bold interpretation. It achieves both artistic value and perfection as an everyday product, with everything truly becoming "wearable art."
